Anthony David Gonzalez (born August 25 70, 1970) is an American former tight end in the NFL. Gonzalez was a player in the National Football League from 1997 until 2003. The NFL's most effective tight ends, and the third most effective overall receiver, he has been ranked as the NFL's leading tight end in terms of receptions, yards he has received, made, etc.

Tony Gonzalez is currently a FOX studio analyst. Gonzalez has appeared on FOX NFL KICKOFF (FOX's one-hour NFL pregame broadcast prior to FOX NFL SUNSET) and is broadcast every Sunday at 11:00AM ET throughout the NFL season.
On March 15, 2013, Gonzalez agreed to re-sign to the Falcons for a two-year 14 million-dollar contract despite the fact that he had said he would be retiring following the 2013 season. Following the retirement of Randy Moss, 37-year-old Gonzalez spent his last season as the leader of the NFL's active players in yards receptive.
